Education Team

Team Leader: Min. Jessica Jackson

The Education Team theologically grounded in the above scriptures provides the resources, teachers, courses, training and mentoring to train people in God’s truths so that they can be transformed by the renewing of their minds and not be destroyed from the lack of knowledge. The Team consists of the following ministries:

Christian Education Ministry. This ministry serves as the connecting link between the Pastor and all educational ministries of the church. It provides opportunities for Christian development through workshops, conferences and related activities.

Bereavement & Grief Ministry. (New) - Sis. Judith Wood, Sis. Myrtle Houchens, and Sis. Pat Bell

L.E.A.D. - Rev. Elder Kaye Monroe. This ministry provides opportunities to further one’s understanding of the Scriptures through strengthening techniques of personal Biblical studies. It encompasses numerous classes on identifying and using your spiritual gifts, strategies in biblical studies, the “five-fold” ministries as well as the LEAD Institute, an institute that develops through teaching and training leaders who are spiritual.

New Members Training. - Rev. Dr. Bruce Beard. This is part of the Sunday Church School ministry and provides to new members the spiritual and practical orientation to First Baptist Church and the Baptist denomination, and education and training regarding the tenets and the fundamentals of their recently acknowledged faith.

Sunday Church School. This ministry facilitates the continuing Christian education of all attendees of all ages in the understanding and practical application of the Word of God to their lives.
